2008 $9,179.29

  • 5th grade teacher received funding for Eye Q totaling $249.99.
  • Gifted program received funding for a trip to Huntsville, Al for Launch to New Horizons totaling $2,649. 

  • 10 Kindergarten teachers received $659.50 to continue their Books Are Fun writing projects.

  • 10 First grade teachers received $689.43 to continue their writing and self publishing project in Learning to Write.

  • 10 Second grade teachers received $1,131.37 to launch their first year of the Learning to Write project.

  • Preschool counselor received $800 for The Be Nice Spices project.

  • 5 KMS teachers will share a Smartboard requested and received $3000 funding. 


2007 $11,365.86

  • 10 Kindergarten teachers received $1,258.68 to continue Books Are Fun.

  • 10 First grade teachers received $1,258.68 to begin the Learning to Write project.

  • KMS Librarian received $2,779 to fund Reading Counts at KMS with a Smartboard request.

  • KMS teachers received $1,362 for a Study Island web-based MAP preparation program.

  • 7 Third grade teachers received $1,602.00 for the National Civil Rights Museum trip and activities in Memphis.

  • 9 Fourth grade teachers received $3,105.50 for the Gateway Arch Riverfront Journey to St. Louis. 


2006 $12,499.62

  • 8 Kindergarten teachers received $1,165.00 for Books Are Fun.

  • 6 First grade teachers received $850.50 for Weekly Reader Wonders.

  • 5 Second grade teachers received $1453.00 for Snug As a Bug in a Book.

  • 7 Third grade teachers received $790 for a Ruby Bridges Presentation.

  • 7 Fourth grade teachers received $741.12 for Missouri Studies Weekly newspapers.

  • 2 South school counselors received $3,000 for Bully Proofing Our Schools benefiting 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th graders.

  • 8 Middle school teachers received $1000 for Reading Counts with 6th, 7th, 8th graders.

  • 6 High School coaches received $3,500 for Winning with Character for grades 9-12.
